July 2025 – Jateng Fair Festival 2025
Jateng Fair 2025, carrying the theme “The New Innovation”, is the largest annual event in Central Java and will be held at the PRPP Complex in Semarang from June 27 to July 6. The event will feature various exhibition booths, entertainment, and culinary delights, as well as music concerts with both national and local artists.

July 2025 – Cheng Ho Festival
The Cheng Ho Parade Festival is an annual event in Semarang that commemorates Admiral Cheng Ho’s arrival in the city, featuring a cultural procession from Tay Kak Sie Temple to Sam Poo Kong Temple. The festival showcases various cultural attractions, including a parade of deity statues (Kimsin), lion dance performances, dragon dances, and other traditional art performances.

Semarang Night Carnival 2025
Semarang Night Carnival 2025 is an annual cultural parade held in Semarang to celebrate the city’s anniversary. This year’s event carried the theme “Perisai Nusantara” (The Archipelago Shield) and featured spectacular costumes inspired by cultural elements such as the Bird of Paradise, Peacock, Orchid, and Penjor. The carnival showcased a nighttime parade along Jalan Pemuda, involving over 150 participants from local regions as well as international guests from South Korea and Australia. Attractions included traditional performances like lion dances, Reog Ponorogo, drum corps, and vibrant fashion displays, drawing thousands of enthusiastic spectators despite the rain.
Brown Canyon
Brown Canyon in Semarang is a striking former mining site that has transformed into a popular natural tourist destination, known for its towering reddish cliffs and dramatic rock formations that resemble the Grand Canyon. Located in Rowosari, Tembalang, this man-made landscape was shaped over decades by sand and stone excavation, creating a rugged and photogenic environment that draws in visitors, especially photographers and nature lovers.
